Hi all, just checking in . I'm new to the list but have had my honda for a few years. I was waiting for my ex to fix it for a few years while the poor thing sat , with an engine ready to put in from the junk yard(don't know the miles). I have always liked this car alot and wanted to get it running again. The engine had been sitting for 4 years now without oil out in the weather and I didn't know what it looked like inside, but went ahead and put it in the car and got it running. It ran, but had internal troubles and threw a rod. Maybe rust from sitting. I should have rebuilt it. Now I have just gotten another engine (D15B)for it to rebuild, and hope to be driving it in January. This is a great forum.

You should deff. rebuild the engine in 4 years a lot can happen for all you know there could be an animal in there. So you should rebuild it and take that car out more often

what year was the car and what size was the original moteor that was in it

The car is a 91 with the D15B2 1.5L original motor in it. I put the same kind in it from the junk yard . This other one I just picked up is also the same, except it runs.
