Default New Here! (with pics!)

So, I just picked up a 1998 honda civic EX with 34k original miles. 5-speed, A/C, power windows/locks, moonroof, the works. The car has a prior salvage title on it, but drives just fine. A few questions:

1) there is no CD player in it, can I just plug-in-play a CD slave for it? the stereo has a button for "CD" but no actual CD, will I have to wire one in?

2) I am wanting to replace the hubbies on it for some actual rims, up until what year civic/intergra can I run on it without having to worry about clearing the calipers, strut rub, etc?

3) I am looking at lowering kits and what-not, is there any particular brand (on the cheap) that I should be looking at?

and now, onto the pictures.

Also, The car is going to be my DD, i have a 2004 pontiac GTO that is my "weekend" car, and the civic will be my "weekday" car.

Here are said pictures of GTO:

now, a week later, I have added some 20% window tint all-around, and also some 1995 integra GSR rims.

comments? concerns?

That's pretty damn clean. Museum quality paint, heh. Those "fat 5's" look fine on it.

Yes, there is a slave CD player that just plugs in and works.

Be careful with lowering springs and such. You get cheap ones, you get what you paid for.

I am using a Nikon D60, with the original 18-55 lens. Too cheap to buy a new one.

Thanks for the compliment, I must say that it is actually not all that clean of paint, but
I do what I can to keep it clean, I will have to show you some "Before" pics.

I am very meticulous with my cars, so they will always look clean.

I was a little leery about the "ebay" special lowering kits, they are sooo stinking cheap though. what brands should I be looking at?

to be honest, i didn't even know it was that bad when i bought it, it was dirty when i picked it up, and didn't realize it until i got it home that it was all tore up.
this is what I used:

porter cable 7424
Meguiar's Ultra Cut New Version
lake country orange pad
Z-5 PRO Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches

I did the whole car this way, and realistically could do it again if i ever feel motivated.

I used the meguires first, using the polisher, then waxed with the z5.
