New to me 95 ex

Hey all. New guy here with a new to me 95 ex. Got this car for practically a song. Inside it is flawless, outside it is a solid 5. Minor hail damage in spots but looks great to me. Everything works, but the moon roof motor is weak on the way in.

Just a couple questions. Intermittent dash lights, is that common? They flicker on and off, thought it was the crappy alarm, but I pulled that and it is still doing it. Bad ground some where?

Here is the car in question.

Welcome to the forum! Tip: Photobucket for pictures. Any plans for future mods?

None really. Would like to fix the dash light issue, but possibly some stiffer/new shocks and maybe some different wheels. Just a reliable commuter for now, bought it for my father in-law to drive while he is with us. When he quits using it, I will use it for work and park my rabbit and try to swap in a vr6.

On the dash lights, I'd glance at the dimmer switch. Pull the switch, take it apart, and attempt to clean the contact points. It's a cheap troubleshooting step. Also check the wires on the plug for the dimmer switch.

Also, download the helms manual for your Civic. You'll find all the wiring diagrams and, well, the whole dang book useful. It's in .pdf format.

Thanks. For the advice. We thought it might be that whole dimmer switch set up. Any tips on pulling the trim pieces off?

It's been a long time since i had an EG Civic (92 EX) but i believe you have to pull the lower dash kick panel (3 or 4 obvious screws) and then reach up underneath to push the switch bank out from behind. That, or try to pry it out with a flathead. They're really just popped into the the slot but all 3 come out at once.
