Whats up! Well I am new to the civic game, well not entirely new all I have owned for the past 5 years have been civics. Started with a 95 civic dx coupe, now have a 99 civic lx sedan, and my wife drives an 08 civic ex. I have recently become very interested in the 92-95 civic hatchbacks.

What I have noticed is a lot of the hatchbacks come with engine and tranny swaps. Is there a way to tell if a swap has been done right? The last thing I want to do is spend money and buy a lemon. Wondering if there are some pointers on how to determine if things were done right or not.

Also still very new to the terminology of everything. I understand a good part of it but sometimes I read some CL ads and think I do not know what they are talking about. Any tips or pointers that would help me to buy a good civic hatch would be very appreciated thanks

If your worried about buying a lemon i'd say don't buy one with a swapped engine and tranny. Someone can easily lie about the mileage on both.
