Default Hi I'm new!

Hi

I'm new here, I joined cos my 92 civic VTi EG9 is sat on my drive having failed its MOT for with a siezed rear calliper and out of ballance front brakes!

I got the calliper and new discs and pads all round on order and a set of goodridge pipes so hopefully will be able to get the thing road worthy again soon... Just need to figure out how to fit everything!

Any advice on how to sort the out of ballance front brakes would be appreciated!

Paul.

Welcome to the forum. Can't answer your question but I'm 100% sure someone one here can. These guy's really know thier s#$T. I spend a lot of time reading a lot of the post(s) and they have cleared up a lot of mis-information and saved me some cash.

Part of the MOT test is putting the car on a rolling road and checking the braking pressure on each wheel, if there is a difference between each side of more than whatever % they fail the car.

I called the Honda dealer and they suggested taking the pads out and cleaning them before replacing them - it is common to find pads sticking somehow it seems.

I'm gonna put new EBC greenstuff pads and Goodridge stainless steel braided hoses all round ancd hopefully this will solve the problem.

(just hope I don't end up with warped discs!)
