noob from central fla

hello hcf i am a noob from central fla. i have a 97 civic hatchy and im just starting to mod it looking to do some clean jdm mods only. i do have a question i really want to do a motor swap but im not sure which route to take. im mixed between a k-series or a b18. i will more then likely turbo it and im looking for big horse power any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Both motors do well with boost. How much money do you have to spend, and how much power do you want to see?

I have researched both and know the kseries runs about 5000 for a complete swap where as a good b18 swap runs about 3000 im not rich but i am saving for this swap so the cost doesnt matter i just want something clean n fast as for power the more the merrier

K series will probably be able to get you to a higher hp number IMO. You will pay more though.

ok i was reading the post between you and turtlegrip throughout his build and stuff you guys were talking about a b16b im not sure what the best motor for what i am looking for. Money is not an option as i will be saving for this swap. im looking for around 400 to 450 hp maybe a little more that is with turbo. i wanna keep things clean im not opposed to a h22 or some thing like that im really not sure where to go like i said im a noob and want a clean fast jdm hatch

If you H22, go H2B. Trust me.

If you are H22, I would not recommend boosting. Stick with B series (B16/B18), or K series (K20) if you really want a turbo set-up.

Ok i think i want the turbo set up so the power to cost ratio is the b or k a better motor
