First tickets suck....


i got a 54 in a 40, and i waited like 4 months to tell my parrents. My dad forwarned me that they were getting a devorce but my mom didn't want to tell me so the day she told me they were getting a devorice i told them i got a speeding ticket....worked out pretty well.


I had to go to court for minors and they gave me the option of paying $362 and a point on my licnece insurance goes up, or 20 dollar traffic school it goes away..


So..i did traffic school...it was about drunk driving...worked out pretty good on my end..

 

The only suggestion I can give is tell your parents, because they will find out anyway (when the insurance bill comes) and it will be worse than it would've been if you were upfront about it.
Secondly dont go above the speed limit more than 10MPH because than you are just asking for trouble. For ex, on a 65 MPH zone(highway) I will never go past 80 and thats usually later on at night when the traffic is very slow and I never stand out compared to the other cars. If you drive very fast and are leaving every car behind you than you are just asking for trouble and are an endagerment to everyone on the road so get ready for an expensive ticket.

 

Ok, he's what I have done with my tickets
During the time my parents paid my insurance, I told them when I got a ticket, but I also got myself a decent lawyer
and he fixed it so that I would not have to report it to the insurance company and also so that I would not get points on my license and have to go to traffic school
SO, my suggestion to you
FIND YOURSELF A TRAFFIC LAWYER
it will cost you a bit to get it 'fixed' but with mine I got it changed from say 20 over to loud muffler or something like that.
Going 20 over cost me $200
Going 25 over only cost me $250 to get it fixed.
Here in missouri, if you go 26 over you automatically have to preform community service along with all that good stuff
My friend did30 over andjust got it fixed and only had to appear at court and let the lawyer do the talking,he just sat there.
no points lost, no ups on the insurance

 

wow guys..im gonna try to take defensive driving...but i found out today that in my town theres something called a teen court..ran by teens for teens...and the punishments is like writing a 500 word essay or some community service hours...so im gonna look into that...but i dont know what it is about civics and my foot...i can drive any car and not speed or do anything out of the ordinary...but when i get in a civic i have this need for speed and sliding around corners...maybeh its because i love my civic so much i dont know

 

you obviously just got your liscense because thats how i felt and well lets just say i paid a bigger price then you did. I dont want to get into details unless you want to hear my story but i flipped a car doing 45 in a 15. So lets just look at it this way. Your car is not totaled and it wasnt your moms car and you will probably only have to pay a small fine if you work it with the judge. My parents had to buy a new car because i totaled my moms. $20,000 bucks out the window. We didnt report it to the insurance company because the car was totaled beyond fixing, and if we did I would have a point on my record and maybe been charged with reckless driving. I was very lucking that i didnt hurt myself or anyone else such as bikers or runners who would often be in the area i crashed. The HWY Patrol was very nice and didnt give me a speeding ticket or charge me with reckless driving. I could have easily got my liscense taken away. The moral of the story is dont drive fast because it will catch up to you. I dont care who you are if you speed you will get caught or make a mistake. I learned a major lesson and will never forget this. I still like to punch it sometimes but I'm now much more catious when I do decide to give it a little more gas. Look everyone likes to drive fast, its human nature and it gets the adrineline pumping, but there is a limit and the key to that is dont try to show off and dont try to step it up because when you try to top what you did before you will run the risk of losing control. Also your not only putting your life at risk but you putting the people in cars, walking, running, biking, or maybe even people in there houses in danger. The sad part too is most of the time the driver lives and the people you hit dont, so how would you like to live with that??? same goes when driving with friends, I hate when my friends try to show off to me by driving fast, I try to drive the speed limit when i have people in the car because im responsible for them and if anything ever happened to them that was my fault i wouldnt be able to live with myself. Just think about these things when your driving it will change your mind about how you drive sometimes, I know its fun, you just got your licsense and before this you have never got the chance to go these speeds before so keep it under control and think about the people around you. Try giving you parents a call and tell them that you just flipped you car, now that was scary!!!! lol

 

well u could just man up an tell them... there goin to find out either way... why hide it or go around it..u did the crime dont be scared there ur parents, if thats something thathurts ur relationship ..then thats kinda sad...sorry but i dont see the reason about goin around things if u can just man up an tell it to them.

 

a good excuse might be you had to pee or had explosive diarrhea
