Default Tranny Swap For Noobs

I'm a noob, so this isn't really a help topic for noobs who are interested in this.. Hopefully all y'all learn-ed gearheads can provide some help for the noobs, including myself.

I have a 94 Honda Civic Del Sol and it's an automatic. A friend from work told me he's heard stories of ppl fixing up Del Sols and 'tricking them out' and that really interested me. I think it's a pretty rare car (considering I've only seen 2 in my whole life and from what other ppl say about it) and it'd be pretty neat to fix it up. Anywho, I'd like to swap out the transmission and I wondered an estimate of how much it'd cost and all the extra stuff I'd need to put in (like clutch, shifter, etc etc). Anywho, any advice would be greatful. I know there's alot of threads on this issue, but every one I've read were by ppl who already know what their talking about so I can't get much help from it... Thanks
