Trying to swap my Civic ek auto into a k20a2 manual
I bought a Honda Civic ex 2000 auto but my goal is to put in a k20a2 and auto to manual conversion. My question is if this is possible for a guy that has little bit but some experience working on my own car. Or should I goto a shop and get a professional to do it. I also need help on what I should buy (parts) to get ready for for the swap if I’ll do it myself.
the future for this project is to turbo the k20a2 but also keep it a daily driver
thanks for helping!

doing this swap has been simplified alot by companies making specific parts to do the swap. however there are still alot of things you will have to figure out on your own as you go. if you do it yourself dont expect it to be done quickly and dont expect alot of support on the forums. i dont know enough to help you there's alot lf information out there already posted but you will have to find it. my suggestion is to just have a shop do it as they will already know what is needed and it will be done in a timely manner.
find the shop and discuss it with them. your going to find potential shops. 1 they dont care and will do the work regardless. 2 they like specific brands and may charge you extra because its not from a company they are familiar with. 3 they wont touch it because they didn't buy it.
doing it yourself or through a shop isn't cheap. cost completely revolves on the shop itself if you go that route. only shop i can refer you too is Allentown pa/easton area. its just outside of nj so you might be interested plus its basically a one stop shop and as far as i know they are big with hondas. so they can probably give you an actual price.
