What could be the problem if your 98 honda civic wont start?

Without knowing what one may have tried, the obvious causes could be:

no gas in the tank
dead battery
no spark to plugs
faulty fuel pump
voltage regulator
defective ignition switch
defective starter motor
clogged fuel filter

There are wayyyy too many possibilities.

Any CELs?

Welcome to the forum btw.

I have had the battery checked and it's good. it has gas in it and brand new spark plugs! I went through 7 fuel pumps til I got one that worked. they tested my starter and said it was good and I put a brand new fuel filter on it. it will start if I spray starter fluid in it but it doesn't run for real long and its running like crap.
