00 Civic Si

Just getting some more opinions.
Which Turbo Brand would be best for my 2000 Honda Civic Si?
HKS
GReddy-My Choice
Turbonetics -Ive heard customer service is un-beatable?
Garrett

Engine is B16A2 160-172 HP stock.
Only mods atm are:
AEM Intake
MSD Ignition External Coil
Walbro Fuel Pump
Apexi Exhaust
Highflo c-converter

I have heard from several people the only place well known for tuning civics is Fairfield, Ohio, anyone else have other suggestions?

Piece together your own kit; it's not that hard, and a lot cheaper than a pre-fabbed kit. And I'm partial to Garrett personally.

Garrett I have had many setups myself and I have always used there turbo kits. It depends on what you wanna do though. I would do what he said make sure you have a good understanding of the turbo and what size you want also.

yea piece together your own kit....greddy is good but will not make too much hp. go and look at a few kits and get some ideas - peakboost and full-race are great!

dont buy a generic brand ebay kit or turbo itself you want to buy a quality brand turbo because that is the most important part of the setup. If you buy an ebay turbo more than likely their will be hella shaft play and you will **** up the motor.

Thanks for advice,my engine is high compression, would I need to get the top or bottom end built before running over 8 lbs. boost? Also you guys know of any sites to purchase the turbo kit hassle free? Looking to spend $2,800-3,200 I know Garrett runs higher than that usually. Will check back with u guys later.

10.2:1 isn't exactly high compression... you'll be fine boosting it with the stock internals to an extent. And 8psi of boost doesn't really mean much. I've said it about a billion times now, x psi in a tiny little 14b is a lot different than x psi in a t76.

And once again, just piece together your own kit; it isn't that hard, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a full kit. I'm talking around half the price of a pre-fabbed kit. With the kits, you're paying for the convenience.

yo i might just have the perfect complete turbo for you in your price range and below, garret t28...pm me

315 Customs 01-27-2009 12:48 PM

A small greddy or garrett will be perfect for you since you have stock internals and running over 10:1 CR. Look into that guy above me turbo for sale, a t28 would be nice but I wouldnt go any bigger then that until you build your block for more boost.

If that turbo doesnt work out for you, you could also look into the t25.

hey 315 customs, i have the garret gt28 rs, is this different to the t28 or what, what r the different ones?
