O dear lord jesus christ, please go do more research. And if you buy a Greddy kit, I think they are all carb legal. Also when you turbo your car you lose the stock header...

well on the EX, the cat is on the exhaust pipe. can't i just cut the downpipe so it cuts off right before the catylic...?

i'm assuming you live in CA where carb legal matters. I guess you 'could' do that, but the stock cat is only like 1.5" or something. way too restrictive for a turbo. you can get a highflow cat, but i dont know how much success they have with smog testing. if you are worried at all, turbo is probably not a good plan. i would look into a swap if you're worried about emissions.

you cant swap a b into a 7th gen. here's where you start searching. any k-series is pretty straight forward, there is even a comprehensive diy made by xproductionz. it is not legal to do a b swap into a 7th gen, or practical, and cost prohibitive.
