Smile Advice on turbo installation??

Hey guys, I'm new at this, but i was looking for some advice on a turbo installation. I really appreciate any feedback i can get. It's really good having a great forum like this to get some great advice. I have a 1996 civic DX Hatchback, which was then engine swapped with a 2000 D16Y. I was recently offered a good deal on a T3 hybrid turbo kit, but was hearing that my transmission and stock pistons won't be able to handle the boost. Is this true? Even at low boost? (6-8psi)?
I will have a complete parts list later in the day for even further help. thnx guys appreciate it. (transmission and pistons are stock)

do a compression test to see if the internals are still ok to boost. Your clutch will be fine at first (Mine was fine until about 4k miles after boosting)

go to the Nitrous, Turbo, SC section and read all the stickies, and then resarch your ***** off, then you'll be ready for boost. PSI doesn't matter, horsepower matters. 7 PSI n a t25 is a lot different than 7 PSI on a giant diesel truck turbo. So, like Trent said, compression test, if cylinders are good, aim for a fun but manageable number, like right around 200 horsepower. With a good tune, some headstuds and some knowledge and care, you'll be safe (usually) on stock internals, but research and knowledge is the biggest thing you need right now.

+1 on the compression test. Too many people just assume a lower mileage motor is automatically good to boost. What do you plan on tuning with?
