Default air intercooler

.... probably a dumb question buuut if you put an intercooler on a non-turbo civic would it have any positive effect on the engine other than just the cold air going thru??

I doubt it, it will prolly hurt you since its going to restrict air flow. The reason an intercooler works on a turbo car is b/c there is something to push the air across the intercooler. Without the turbo, the only thing that is gonna push the air is engine vacuum.

Yeah, even if you wanted to do that, what is going to act as the intake? In a turbo, the intake side of the turbo pushes it through the IC and then into the TB. Come on man, you couldent possibly be contemplating that, say it aint so.

it would do the same thing. except that you dont really need it. pressurized air is hot air, air thats gone through a turbo is hot air. so thats why you need an intercooler. intercoolers do slow down air, but the gains are greater because of the cooler air.

Run a pipe from the inlet of the intercooler to a filter. Then from the outlet of the intercooler to the throttle body.
