Best turbo for 94 civic dx

Hey everone. I am thinking about putting a turbo on my 94 dx and I was wondering what you guys would recommend. I'm probably just going to buy a kit because I really don't know enough about it to but it together myself. I have the stock d15b7 engine in it right now. Are there any mods I need to make to the engine, suspension, exhaust or brakes? If so then any recommendations for those parts would be appreciated.

Yea learn a little bit more about turbo, other than just from the forums.
Check out some books, learn about how a turbo works and why people want them, other than just "they make ya go faster".

RE: Best turbo for 94 civic dx

there is not a certien turbo made just for a civic dx. It depends on what your goals are...do you even have any yet? A smaller turbo will require more psi than a larger turbo depending on how much hp you want. So if you want 250hp with a large turbo the psi wont be as high as a small turbo. figure your hp goals out first and how much you want to spend, more hp more $. Kits are also more expensive then piecing one togehter yourself. You shouldnt buy a turbo until you know how to put one together. I dont literally mean it physically but if I where to ask you want parts you needed and how each part worked then you will have made some ground. Also read books about how honda/acure engines work. You probably wont want to push anything over 200ish on your engine, otherwise you will need to build it up. Also get your engine checked out before the turbo project and get all the small stuff fixed and tuned so that your car is in perfect condition before the project...then that way you wont be fixing stupid stuff along the way.
