Default Big HP Turbo setup.....

Well I'm finally into the point where I can build a big HP turbo car again, I do want some advice though, the last car I had many resources and could spare parts if things were wrong, this time unfortunately I cannot. I plan to stay with the LS block, if i can find a good deal on one, ill pick up a GSR head, cp pistons, turbo tuff rods, ect. now, my big questions are for guys running over 600hp, do you recommend using a piggyback system, a hondata or chipped ecu, or running a standalone fuel management system? I dont mind forking out the $1400 for the FMS but is it worth the money or is it just as easy to buy the programs to tune the hondata and chips yourself? I can run on a dyno for free, so i save big bucks there, AND what turbos are you running brand model and trim, im looking at the precision brand turbo 70mm. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks guys!

i dont think a piggyback will suffice.
