Default Boost d16 or swap????

I've been under the impretion latly that i need an engine swap to get some real power... But i was also wondering.... If i resleaved my block, got low cr turbo pistons, new rods and had it ballance and blue printed to 10,000 rpms ( if possible)... could i get my engine to pull some nice numbers from like 4000 to 9000 rpms with the right turbo setup and tune>>???? I know D16 isnt really a high rev'er.... so would that be a stupid plan for a car i plan to drive daily and performe just as often???? I know i would need alot of headwork, fuel and ignition upgrades.... most def.. a standard tranny too..... but could i in theory rev and boost the **** out of my D16y8 with the right work and drive it regularly????

stock with a good tune you could see 200WHP easily. And run circles on a stock swapped b16 coupe.

Plenty of guys with built bottom end Dseries are making 300-400whp, a lot of which haven't even spent more than 4K on their setups.

No reason to rev to 10K, even aftermarket cams don't make power past 7500 rpms. Do some research, and boost your D, you'll get more out of it for less.
