can i get away with it

Default can i get away with it

hey all im planning on getting that vecco turbo kit i posted up here a little while ago anyways if i just get like 310cc injectors can i drive it as a daily driver with out major problems at about 6 psi or do i absolutely need a tune i didnt think i would need one at such low psi so i thought i would ask first

sure, you can drive it............but not for long, it will blow up.


Save up for another few months and do it right the first time. That is actually a good turbo kit, so with that and a good tune you can make good whp at a safe A.F ratio. A tune is necessary if you want to have your car run for more than a week or so.

Yea, the minute the turbo is put on the car the first thing that should be done before driving it is a tune....or your cars motor could look like petes old one!

you can drive it, just dont hit boost

which will be really hard, because depening on the size of the turbo, you could get into boost at like 2500 to 3000 rpm... which means no downshifting on the highway, and short shifing in the city and hills...which would suck. Id just get some good injecotrs (either RC enginering, or dsm 450's or better yet, rc enginering 450's. but i doubt youll need that.) and then get a tune oh yea, and upgrade the rest of your fuel system

Not entirely true. Boost is dependant on load not RPM"s. I can lightly apply the accelerator and bring my car up to 6grand and never touch boost, or I can matt the pedal and grab 8psi at 2500

wow no way, we have a group of non tuners in the forums,. rediculous. listen to these guys they know what they are talking about
