hey whats up im new to the forum i just bought a 96 civic hatch its all stock except for maybe the headers a short ram and when i bought it it didnt come with cat my question is can i turbo this engine without running into any problems and can it blow my engine if any one can lend me a hand thanks

I turbo'd one and went 14 flat at like 93mph

 

yes it can blow up, anything could blow up not running right. its a good engine to boost

 

When did a 96 hatch come with a d15b?

 

They didn't... they came with D15Y's though

 

they came with D16Y's but if it is overseas they came with a assload of different D series variants

 

yeah its stick, i just got the car it came with the d15b i thought it was weird to cuz my last 96 hatch had a d15y so where is the d 15 b from

From Europe? D15Ys are an EDM motor.

D15Bs could be from Japan, the US, or Europe. Does it have a number after it or is it just "D15B?" (Don't answer that without looking at the block itself. They're not all the same.)
