Default Which civic for turobcharging

Hi guys,
Im new to this forum but have found a lot of useful information so far. Im in the need for a new project and have decided on turbocharging a civic. My question is which model would be most ideal to buy for this particular application. I'm from the UK so some of the models mentioned on this forum are unknown to me which is why im confused as to which would be best to work on. Ive been looking at a late 90's 1.6 ls vtec and was wanting any opinions as to whether this is a good option. Ive built a couple of kit cars and been working on cars for years now but am fairly new to turbos so any advise would be great.
Cheers

if your like me i would make my own!!!!! take your time and buy all the parts sepertally, one bye one and go to mechnic or some with a turbo charged car for more info. trust me dude big company like greddy and turbonetics sell their turbo for like 2000 and if you buy yours from like ebay, you could get it probally less than 700!!! and use that 1300 for a upgrade or even for some NAWZZZZ!!!
