If anyone wants to explain the details about the entire turbo genre, it would be greatley appreciated. I have no idea about anything regarin a trubo, ecept that it makes a freakin sweet sound. Any information would be great including avg. price, what it does, where it is installed, and what the whole PSI is(i know wut it stands for)..Thanx

price depends on if it's a custom kit put together kit and if you shop around for prices or if you buy an expensive premade kit

a turbocharger is a type of supercharger, but in a turbo charger setup, the exhaust gases from the engine are used to turn a turbine (turbo). then the turbine sucks in more air from an intake filter (with or without an intercooler) and crams the air into the engine via a cold air intake tube. this allows more air into the combustion chamber, therefore needing more fuel to ignite, and therefore creating more power and torque.

psi is the pressure that is being pushed out of the turbo into the chamber of the engine, the higher the pressure, the more air is being crammed into the motor, making more power.

with this brief information, there is a lot more to it than just this simple concept, just do a lot of searching for more information. howstuffworks.com might have the info or something.
