D16 question

Is a Garrett T25 ball bearing turbo compatible with a d16 engine?

Really it you had the time and money you could put any turbo you wanted on the car. Weather the T25 is appropriate for your setup will depend on these things..... What psi is that turbo designed to run? Is your motor built at all or is it stock. What other mods are done to the car?

You can put any turbo on a D16 with the right manifold. Before you get too far into it though, you should look at what different turbo sizes mean, and other people's setups. A small turbo will spool faster, but run out of steam in the high RPMs. The opposite is also true, however there are a number of combination in between that you'll need to research to find what fits your needs and meets your power goals.

Good luck!

Decide your power goals, budget and how you want to drive the car.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to get about 200 whp out of it, so like 10-15 psi.

I've got new pistons and rods because those are usually the first things to blow, my sleeves are in pretty good shape. Ive got an exhaust, cold air intake, stage 2 clutch.

do your rod bolts too (use ARP)

also, get some ARP head studs, to prevent head lift
