I bought the shady shot nirtous system and it works good. Now its just not enough..I want more...Im thinking about getting the Zex 55-75hp 82011 kit that is dry or the 82021 kit which is wet..My question is...Wat is the difference between wet and dry?? and wat are the benefits of each?

Wet injects both fuel and N2O at the same time. Wet is much safer and can add more power then dry.


Dry is only the injection of N2O and is usally cheaper, alot easer to install and use but is not as safe and usally maxes out at about 75 hp.


If done correctly, both are safe, so the real benefit is in the price and power.

Thanks LEVII, I have a 99 ex with intake, header, exhuast... What would you recomend? Wet or Dry?

if youre serious about racing it, get the wet, it will give you more room to grow later, but if its just for fun, just get the dry, its WAY simpler, and the wet systems have been known to cause SERIOUS fires if installed improperly. but before you get all excited about nitrous, just know that in a year or so, youre going to wish you had spent the money on a turbo, instead of nitrous refills.

Yeah I'm looking to put a wet kit on my D17, after I do some internals though, and running like 150 shot. But from what all these guys told me and what I read the wet is safer and has more power potential than the dry (of course that properly installed).

oh, wait, Chimera HAS to use a wet system, as the fuel supply isnt set up the same on 7th gens. if you have a 7th gen, definately do wet. but the 99ex would be fine with a dry kit. get spark plugs 2 heat ranges colder, retard your ignition to only about 14 degrees of advance when spraying, and an FPR with a couple of PSI of extra fuel pressure isnt a bad idea. and Chim, look into a little bigger fuel pump.

Thanks alot guys...you've all have been a huge help..I think im going to go with the Dry system.. and Ill def have it professionally installed so I shouldnt have to many worries!! Thanks alot guys!!

That is so the truth too.

Most people get into N2O cause it is a realtivley cheap power adder. Trust me when I say it is not cheap. It gets very expensive very fast and I was only running a 40 shot dry.

Yeh, one thing a lot of people forget about is the plugs. Nitrous can burn your plugs up very easily. Even going 2 ranges colder, you'll still need to check your plugs quite frequently to make sure they're in good shape.
