Wait you mean this engine doesn't have a crank girdle? wtf?

I don't have a picture of it directly, but it's the piece that will now go on top of the crank. I mean... it's big, has 10 bolt holes and the other half of the main journals on it?! In all honesty if you're missing that piece, you're not starting this build off well heh... that is not a cheap part. On a Honda if you don't have it obviously your crank won't even stay where it's supposed to be, not to mention the bearings would get no oil blah blah blah. If you can picture would help me out a lot...

Don't sleeve, don't use a blockguard.

ok i have the 5 individual caps that bolt the crank down, but it is not one piece. maybe i'm misunderstanding someone or making the wrong statement. is there some reinforcement that needs to be done besides the factory crank caps (where the main bearings go) for the crankshaft?

I dissasembled a factory b18 block, is there something i have to buy to restall the crankshaft. (Besides bearings and thrust washers)? Maybe that makes a little clearer

found this block girdle, is this what is recommended?

http://www.azracemachine.com/product...rdleLS_B16.htm

Why does it only have 6 holes?. I assume it goes in the middle of the crank, any other place i can shop around for this piece? If someone reading this bought one, please let me know from where.

this is actually the first time i hear about a crank girdle, why hasn't anyone suggested that to me in the past? thanks again

^ The stock crank girdle on my car is all one piece, as it was with the F22 that I pulled apart for a friend.

If it's 5 different pieces I would definitely go with that girdle, I'm still surprised that it's not really. Like I said, if you can, take some pics so I can see what you're talking about.

I have a b18a1 block from a 91 integra, it does not have a block girdle from the factory. the b18c5 does and maybe eventhe 93 GSR 1.7L.

The entire short block is at the machine shop so i can't take pics. i assume i have to buy an after market one or find a used one. check out the link i posted a fee back, i think they wanted 195.00 for the girdle. any other suggestions on where to find this part. thanks

Got a question about the oil catch can.

I bought one from ebay, but it doesn't have any installation instructions. It is OBX racing catch can.

im not sure how it goes. does it replace the factory crankcase vent? It has an input and an output fittingand a clear line that goes from top to bottom. if someone ha****s of there's please hook me up

Also i cant figure out how to post pics inside my post. there is no option on the bottom that says post pic? on a side note
