Resonators and mufflers both restrict air flow to some degree, some less than others. If you get a straight through muffler you will have less restriction than a baffled and chambered one, but at the same time it will be louder with a straight through. It comes down to what you want, my car is loud, I like it that way, some people don't.

Venting the catch can is simple, it needs to be able to vent to the air. Drill a big hole in it and put a filter on top to keep it from sucking **** in. That's all there is to it.

SOV you got a pic of your catch can modification?

Loud is not a problem, i just dont want noisy and annoying sound. Like a weed eater. Some suggestions on brands would help.

I will probably use Magnflow muffler, but what are some resonator brands. I searched ebay and they all say resonator/catalytic convertor. They are 2 different pieces why do they use the same word for both?

Remmy what brand do u use?

Sov could u call me when u get a chance 979-324-8127 i had some questions about the ECU/hondata, and maybe a Management System.

all i know is im stickin with my ws2 fo life, HUGE resonator restricted muffler, only 2 3/8" piping... but the sound CANNOT be beaten.

get the exhaust sound you want and then just up the psi until you get to your hp goals. im gonna run 10.2psi to get 230whp, that would probably get mereally close or even more than 250whpwith a 2.5" straigth through exhaust but ill make some sacrifices to have a incredible sounding Turbo D.

you fabbing your own exhaust?

i wanna piece it all together and either weld it myself or to everything to a M.shop.

As far as my Hp goals i do not have a set number i wanna get. At this point i just want the car to run and i will be happy. I plan on not racing so i partically do not care what hp i'm putting out. I got all the performance parts mentioned at the beginning of the post for dirt cheap so i'm just putting them all together and trying to do it right in order to protect the investment.

So ws2 is a muffler brand?

Remmy what you got?!

Apexi Ws2, its probably the cleanest sounding exhaust there is out there IMO, sounds aggresive when you romp on it, a little bit louder than stock when driving but enough to know its there, and it looks awesome w/out a fartcan. fartcans bug me! (no offense guys) if your not planning on pushing extreme hp id just go with a 2.5" exhaust, keep it a little quiter and it wont hurt anything at low boost levels. UNLESS you want to be heard [8D]

Some people use this Vibrant muffler thats a flat black muffler, and its sleeperish. Apparently its really quiet until you open it up.

SOV can u described the catch can install. One end hooks to the valve cover and where does the other hose go? Then i should also drill a hole on the top of it and install a filter? is that correct. help me out with my ecu as well.

The engine is almost done from the machine shop, now i'm tryin to think ahead at possible pitfalls. i want some type of fuel managment system. i see the mugen chip in my ecu but not sure what that is capable of. I'm also looking into a uego wideband o2, maybe aems stand alone. i just wanna know what options i have when it comes to FM and o2.
I have an apexi VAFC2 is that adequate to increase fuel ratios?
