Default Fuel and ignition management

I am planning on putting a bolt on turbo onto my b18a1. I was just curious how important it would be that i upgrade my ignition and fuel management system.

how much boost?

you will need at least a fmu or e-management
and some bigger injectors like 310cc wouldnt hurt either

and you might need to mess around with the timing a little bit depending on how much boost also

With lowboost, youll probably be alright without doing a whole lot, but if you want a lot of boost, some 310s are good, and AEM makes good fuel mangement systems.

Your ignition will be fine, but at the very least you will need an FMU or a regulator and larger injectors. The FMU is the cheapest way to go but also allows for the least amount of tuning.

I'm thinking of running at about 8 lbs. of boost.

Well you definetly need to get some colder plugs. (check out the NGK bcpr7es-11). Fuel management is KEY in making power. I am currently running GReddys blue box. its not bad, but its a base-tune and i wont have it for long. I would upgrade spark plugs too. You get get some DSM plugs pretty cheap on ebay, or spend a few bucks on the RC ones. For fuel management the choices are endless.

You can get your ECU chipped for UBERDATA (see if u have any dyno tuners around you)
You can get some HONDATA and get that tuned.
You can get GReddy EMANAGE and get that tuned.
You can get an FMU (like a vortec 12:1 or whatever) and an adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator.
You can spend big bucks and get AEM EMS (stand alone engine management)

It all depends on what youre willing to spend.
