Default greddy turbo charger kit

For the 92-95 Greddy turbo charge kits it says they are only for the 92-95 civic ex/si cars. I have a 94 cx civic, would I have to do a mini-me swap to be able to use one of these turbo charge kits orwill it bolt up and work with a d15b7? Thanks

well what engine do the EX/SI have? D16z6? Well aren't all D series exhaust manifold interchanable? So there might be some fitment problem with charge piping n stuff and you might have to remove your A/C (if you have it), but atleast it'll bolt up to the block and stuff. Also the downpipe to the rest of the exhaust might not line up either.

ya its d16z6 1.6l, so you think it could probally work then flip? I was gonna piece together a kit but I can't afford a management system, greddy looks good enough for me for now (I have to find another job anyways before i get serious, just quit the one I had[:@]) anyways hopefully it will fit most of the stuff in the kit. Thanks flip

this seems contradicting to me... you can piece together a nice turbo kit to push 300+ w/ about 2k. and engine management system will run you like 400 bucks (for a nice one!!!). and the gretty kits are apx 4500... if you want to just get a kit and save the hastle, i'd recomend the cheaper turbonetics kit (http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...ura+Turbo+Kits) comes w/ everything you need except fuel pump, injectors and management. but if you really don't wanna spend that kind of money on tuning you can always just get a SAFCII and street tune it yourself. you wont' see GREAT results but w/ a wideband at least you can get your motor at a safe a/f and run whatever you want.

the management systems I was looking at from aem and such were in the 1 grand pricerange, I can find the greddy kit for about 1400 bucks, I have seen a few around here, I will look into your suggestions there though. DO you think the turbonetics kit would be as reliable as a greddy kit? Thanks for some info though

I don't think the greddy kit for the 92-95 come with injectors.

Megafandrew, everything would bolt up fine except for the air intake charge pipe, you are going to need to extend it a little bit. The only bad thing about the greddy kit is that the kit doesn't included an intercooler and the e-manage (greddy's piggyback) sucks as a fuel managent because it runs pig rich straight out of the box that you need to get it tune. So it's pretty much crap because it's harder to tune that should consider getting your ecu chipped and running chrome, hondata or neptune instead. Since your car already comes with an ecu that can be chipped, I don't recommend doing the afc hack (that pretty much for 96-00 guys that don't want to switch to an obd1 ecu)

Oh, the turbonetics is a good reliable kit too.

If your on a tight budget, try checking out turbod16 or honda tech classifields because many of the times you will find complete used greddy kits with the intercooler for about 900-1,200

wow, i was thinking of a totally diferent kit apparently b/c i was under the impression that the greddy kit came w/ fmic, e-manage ultimate and ic piping... must have been thinking about the TC kit. yea would definatly NOT go w/ the greddy kit.
turbonetics is a very good and reliable name in the aftermarket world. IMO-moreso than greddy. the turbo that they give you is a lil larger than i would like but i'm a street car kinda guy (that and i don't see ANY point in having a street car over 350-400whp...) but you can run any boost you want and i'm pretty sure the t3/t40e will get you up to like 425whp.
but i still think piecing it together would be a lot cheaper. ALSO you do NOT need AEM EMS for what you are looking for!! greddy e-manage, hondatea f200, hondata f300, SAFC, Neo, VFC... any of these will work and none of them are over 500 i don't think. AEM is apx 1700 brand new and you don't get enough out of it to justify the cost IMO.

Thanks Rc thats some good info, I am going to look into piecing together my own kit and Ill look for one of those managements you listed there, I like the idea of the hondata f200. It probally will be alot cheaper then the turbonetics kit although I like it, it cost about 3500 bucks! Im sure I could do better for building one of my own kits. Thanks again
