Im going to start piecing it together now very carefully so it will be ready to install by the end of april, possibly sooner but seeing as there is snow here, I wouldn't say to much before. When I do get all the parts I will take a photo though and see what you guys think. Im going to use the sticky on piecing a turbo kit I think forty wrote it!

i don't mean to thread jack but i didn't want to start a new thread. i've been reading a lot and doing my research, but i still don't know what exactly a chipped ecu and emu and those type things do and are they even necessary

The ecu is the car's computer that tells the motor how much fuel it should be injecting at certain air concetrations. A chipped ecu is just a regular ecu that has been modified with a re-writable chip that allows people to change the fuel maps to compensate the extra air being added to the engine from the turbo or supercharger.

they can't tune a stock ECU. so you will have to either have the ECU Chipped, get an aftermarket piggy back system such as Hondata, Chrome, Greddy Emanage, etc etc., or you could even tune with something as small as a SAFCII but the car MUST be tuned once you put the turbo kit on, otherwise you may end up blowing up ur engine and then you would have wasted all that time and money saving up for the turbo kit w/ no car to drive.

this is the kit i'm looking at getting http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...p;phot_key=250
i don't think it comes with any of that stuff you were talking about, what would you recommend, chipped ecu or one of the other things?
this is the only thing that is confusing me[&:]

the turbonetics kit is MUCH better kit than the greddy. the turbonetics kit + everything else you get in the kit is MUCH better than the greddy kit. as several of us have already told you. you still will need a few things though to make it work.
