how many miles does your turbo civic gets in a gallon of gas?


i have a turbo civic im getting around 10mpg is this normal?
i have not put the o2 sensor and no fmu
does this make any difference

tell me ways i can save some gas

chip the ecu, larger injectors, better fuel pump, and tuning. tuning is the key to mpg even with a turbo set up. our turbo ls set up get over twice what your getting. i beleive the last time we checked it was 28-29 mpg.

 

on the highway at 65 mph cruise im getting near 45 mpg.

 

highway going easy on my baby i get close to 32-33mpg... but thats with the occasional hard boost... today in the city/loacl area/highway... where i was playing with the boost more then ever... i lost 1/2 a tank somewhere... haha.. soo yeah.. depends how you run it....

like that guy said. Larger injectors, go Greddy E-Manage since AEM EMS is over a grand. walbro 255 fuel pump, and when you get all this bring it to a dyno shop so the guys there can run it and tune it optimal for ya.

Dude 10 mpg is horrible. You need to get your o2 sensor on asap thats the reason ur mileage sucks.

And I'm about the same as Pete.

 

a good turbo setup will increase your gas milage.

 

guys false alarm... heres what happened
yesterday was the day i finished installing my turbo...
test drove that night and break it in slowly and easily.. drove it for many miles with my wife.. (shes there to regulate my speed)
i put full tank of gas and parked it at home

and this morning is the first time i drove it to my work, 20 miles away getting highway miles
as i drove to work my gauge slowly dropped and i was like (wtf)
when i reached work it was below the 1/2 line
all day i couldnt concentrate wtf is wrong
when i got out of work it was still half tank
and drove home still a little under half tank
park at my house in an incline 3 hours after its back to full tank
i was discombobulated
soooo i guess im getting around 25-35 mpg

my car is 4 door sedan 94 civic ex and its a sleeper... stock muffler and all stock hubcaps its getting 6-8lb of boost
boost kicks in at around 2000 rpm... I want to thank the guide up in this forum on how to install.. it really help

Dude, thats not a false alarm. If you parked on an incline, it will show more fuel in there than you actually have. There is a serious problem with your ride if your going through that much fuel
