well........ i really appreciate the help you gave. i chose a car today that had just came up for sale, literally, as i hit refresh it showed up. unfortunately i am probably not so welcome here now.

its a '00 focus zx3

Focus power kit & 50lb injectors
balanced engine
crower rods
forged pistons 9:1
stronger main bearing caps
qualife lsd
focus sport lightened fly wheel
stage 6 clutch
greddy blow off
65mm throttle body
h&r cup kit suspension
brembo rotors (slotted)
hawk hpt pads
2.5" exhaust w/borla muffler
sparco seats
momo stearing
sct pro race tuning program
new pcm from all ford
sabelt 5pt belts
rear roll cage done by race tech fab

all gauges

car body has 50k miles
motor/trans bought new for the build - has 12k on it now

running 6psi at 220whp 226t

then there is alpine deck with 6" screen
ipod hookup
some reason they actually left the AC in
power steering also
stock wheels/tires
16s on it with new tires
set of studded 15s with rims
cat
rear seats and plastic (out cause of cage)
usb with all the program stuff

all this for a not so hefty price tag. barely paid blue book of the car

sounds legit. I hate Focuses though. -__-

The work done to that thing is way overboard for only making 220 WHP though. Seriously... a stage 6 clutch on a 220 WHP engine... and why is it built if it's only making 220 WHP?

Just seems a little overkill.

You're still welcome here of course... but you probably don't have a reason to want to come back lol.

its only running 6psi! i was only seeing gauge at 5.5! was waiting until he got everything finished to re-tune to run it at PIR (portland international raceway) but never got to it.

its ready to go up to 16-18 at least and get the HP.

thats why it is so low

I know it's only running 6 PSI, I was just saying it was odd that he was only running 6 PSI. Who builds an engine only to make 220 WHP? But now you've explained that he had higher ambitions so it makes sense.

hes a law abiding guy. he wouldnt even speed when he drove me around. he barely even got over 3.5k rpms. hes a firefighter. somewhat makes sense.

he didnt want any power as a daily driver. was waiting until it was done to make it 1/4 mile only.

and made me goto the freeway to hit the gas to try out the car.

if it makes you guys feel better it is the slowest after market turbo car i have ever driven...............BUT, its only running 6psi, barely showing over 5.5psi. It is supposed to be build for nearly 400hp and can handle a lot more. I think i will get used to as is then raise boost to 12psi/retune

buy and drive are two very different things. i didnt want a ford either but i took what i could get that has the value and the performance. i havent worked for a year, i make my money on smart buys and easy sells. that was my only point. but i dont mind getting my use out of this. i didnt say anything about driving it, but it would probably be dumb not to buy it if you had the cash. thats like saying you dont like euros so you wont spend even money to buy them. i paid blue book on the car and it has 10k + put in on top of that.
