I have a burning hatred for my heatshield
Im removing my stock exhaust mani and heatshield from my 2000 civic si. I have EVERYTHING unbolted it is hanging loose ready to fall out. Just one problem, my friggin heatshield is in the way of the mani and the mani is in the way of the heatshield and niether of them will come out. I couldnt get the thing out before I unbolted anything either. Any tips to get this piece of trash out of my engine bay?!?!
Heat sheilds suck royally. Bend the **** out of it, cut it, do whatever you have to do to mangle it enough to get the ****er out.
Use those muscles!

Yes, I have A/C. I cant exactly remember what I did to remove mine. But I do recall sitting their asking my self "wtf is all the fuss about with the heat shield?"
No, god help me if I didnt have a/c. I live in florida man, today was october 19 and it was a cloudy rainy EXTREMELY humid high of 89*! Taking out the a/c is not an option so I have to suffer in other ways. Any other helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.
Comfort perspective, I wish I had A/C
However, turbo installation perspective, I'm so glad I don't have it.
What's so hard about this heatsheild? It's not that thick, bend it out. Hell, I'm 130lbs and I broke the rusted bolts I couldn't get to off as I pulled it out.

Which part of the heat sheild is giving you the most grief red2000? Is it that you can't get to the bolts, or they're stuck, or what?
I have the thing completely unbolted I can slide it about 9"up and down but I cant get it out either way. Im going to try and maybe put the center bolt back in and pull out on it as hard as I can and to try and bend it a little flatter. Keep the suggestions coming in case that doesnt work.
