LS/vtec super block?
hahaha right, well its more of me saying hey im getting some stuff in my car got any other ideas, cuz have you ever tryed to LS/vtec and supercharge!? i didnt think so! so if you know anything that could be to my benafit post it dont waist my time say i dont know anything about my honda! i know well enough about prolly more then you know about your honda! if you got nothing good to say or you dont know from experence dont post!
Dude, if you're looking for info, then be respectful to the people on this forum who can provide it to you. If you're going to shoot down what people tell you because "you know" already, then don't be asking question...
From what I've heard, LS-V's rod ratio lends to a motor that doesn't like to rev as high, with equal reliability, as something like a GSR. You CAN rev one to 9,000, but you're going to need a lot of parts to do that safely. Take you're time...do some research, because judging by your JRSC experience, the "word of mouth" learning style isn't working out so well for you.

and_so_we_went... have you even seen what's under the hood of sov's civic? And you think you know more than him? He's more or less the forum's forced induction guru... he knows what he's talking about.
By the way, have fun blowing your new supercharged ls/vtec when you finish it, because I see no way you're going to do it correctly with that holier-than-thou attitude. Get off your f**king high horse, dude.

Why don't you go read the stickies I wrote, then come back to me when you have questions to ask.
You blew up a ~180whp supercharged B16. Believe me, this does not permeate your knowledge of Honda's very well.
Look, if you want to build a high revving LS Vtec you need to look at the rod and rod bolt strength. Otherwise, you will tear the bottom end to shreads. Pistons are whatever, you can use stock if you'd really like, the supercharger isn't going to make enough power to break them providing of course you listen and have the car tuned on a good engine management system.
Once you do rods you will still be limited to 8000rpms because you will have a stock head. In order to increase that you will need to put springs and retainers in the head. Then you are left with the fact that the stock cams and supercharger won't support power over 7600 anyway, so there is literally no point in revving any higher than 8000.
But hey, what do I know, I've never had a supercharger.
