Mild build w/N2O, questions.

My sonis in Iraq, and I am upgrading his car while hes gone, not to mention driving it- tons of fun and 3x the mileage of my mopar.

93 Civic LXi, stock at the moment, D16Z6, 5spd.
I have Skunk2 intake 307-05-0260, CompCam kit 59300 w/ upgraded springs and retainers, cheapO stainless 4-2-1 header, all in boxes.- have not decided on exhaust yet.
I would like to get 175-200hp as a daily driver, with rare, responsible use of N2O, I am thinking 50hp shots.
My mechanic will be doing most of the work, but I dont think hes a "tuner" I will be having it tuned after all the work is done.
If everything is round and compression is good, I dont plan on touching the bottom end. Will this motor handle it?
What upgrades to the fuel system should/need to be done? fuel pump, fuel rail, injectors, throttle-body, am I missing anything?
Same question for ignition system.
After my mechanic puts it together, will this run, reliably,on stock ECU? I promise I wont push any buttons untill its tuned by a pro. I have read some on the ECU tuning- will do some more, but the language or propriaty, whatever it is- is there one that stands out, or ones to stay away from?

I have read these forums a while, and I know there will be some great advice, but please- dont say "turbo", its just not my style.
Thanks.
O1

well, the "is it safe" question really depends on which n2o kit you buy, the better and more reliable kit you buy, the better off you'll be. i'm not entirely familiar with n2o, so i'll just wait for someone with a bit more knowledge than me, i don't want to tell you the wrong thing.

yes this can be done safely. for a nitrous kit, go for a name brand kit and it will be worth your while, such as Nitrous Express, Zex, or NOS. buying a wet kit would be beneficial because it injects nitrous and fuel so you dont run lean and start blowing stuff up. with just a 50 shot you shouldnt have to upgrade your fuel or ignition. and yes you can run it on a stock ECU.

Cant believe I forgot to say I had a N2O kit already, its a NitrousWorks 13090A, a wet system. Decent?
As for ECU would going to a pro-tuner be overkill? or recommended?

i would go one step colder on the spark plugs and see what the tuner would do about tuning. i know some of the hondata stuff can control nitrious
