just joined the forum and got a turbo for my 95 ex. i was wondering besides fuel stuff and gaskets, what internals do i need to go past 6 psi to 8 or 10 if i feel frisky? i just got a T3/T4 intercooled and have a stock engine.

The first thing you will need to do will be a head gasket. The stock head gaskets are known blow. After that, you are talking some money. I am currently running 8 psi with no problems YET.

so all you have is a head gasket at 8 psi? no fuel pump, rods , or pistons? is it a D16z engine

Just the head gasket. The fuel pump and rail can handle up to 8psi without any problem. I do have different injectors installed. If I decided to hit the double digit mark, I will without a doubt be putting in new rods and pistons. I do know a guy that is pushing 12 psi with stock, but I think he is just lucky (or stupid). I have the D16Y8 (EX 1996-2000)

I was pushing 9 psi in my old 98' with stock internals... When I was done I was at 12 psi with a few changes.

upgrade the ignition too. msd wires are pretty cheap and the 6al ignition is a good start. A msd btm (boost timing master) is a good thing to have to. Im running 10 pounds of boost on stock internals on my jdm D16A and have been for a little over a year and the compression is still good and not having any problems but, i plan on not exceeding 10psi. Also if you do not want to go through all the hassle of buying injectors, fuel rail, regulator, fuel pump ect.... SMC sells a alcohol injection kit. Im running premieum pump gas with pure alcohol injection and its fine. Also get it tuned. Depending on your bugget greddys E-manage piggy back ecu looks pretty good. I think thats what im getting next.
