I really need some opinions on this. I am planning on putting a TD05H in my 2000 si with a stock b16a2. I was recently told by some guys at a speed shop near me that a TD05H is too small and wouldnt make much power on such a free flowing motor. Basically he told me that instead of making power in the high VTEC range I would make almost the same amount of power but down in the 3-6k range and be weaker in the higher rpm's and that it would be very tough to get it to 210whp. A friend of mine had a T25 in the same exact car and make pretty strong power from what i remember and that;s an even smaller turbo. I need to know if this is true or not soon because I am in the process of purchasing the rest of the parts and dont want to get too far in and have to get a whole new turbo and manifold! Sorry for the long rambling but I had to get it out!

 

Dude you can make 210whp with that turbo easy, dont go back to that shop as they are trying to upsale you on something you dont want or need for your application. Do you allready have a manifold?

 

The TD05 is extremely common on cars in that power range.

 

You could make liek 300hp with that turbo man. 210 whp on a B16 shouldnt require more than 8lbs of pressure.......Any turbo is capable of that.

 

Thanx for the imput guys. Yeah I figured he was full of crap. And yes, I do have a monifold with a TD05H flange already. So you think this will make plenty of power all the way to 8k? Thanx again for the help!

 

They make power all the way up to 8000rpm on Eclipse's and EVO's so i dont see why they wouldn't on your car

Im sure I will be posting a lot more questions on here over the next week or so as I hope to be boosting within the next 2-3 weeks, so bear with me.
