new.. starting turbo project

Hi, i have a 96 civic ex, d16y8 motor. I'm not too good with cars when it comes to the engines, i just know the basics. But i want to put a turbo in this car. So I recently purchased a turbo kit off of ebay. It came with a Turbo Charger, Turbo Manifold, Universal Intercooler, Intercooler Piping, 38mm Wastegate, 2 Blow off valves, Flange pipe, Boost Controller, Turbo Timer, Voltage Stabilizer, Oil Return, Oil Catch Tank, Oil Feed line and a Fuel Pressure Regulator. I also purchased a different turbo manifold(the cast iron manifold that came with the kit wouldn't fit my car), 550 cc fuel injectors, jdm fuel rail, and i have recently changed out the spark plugs/wires, 02 sensors, fuel filter and radiator. Now i'm pretty much stuck on what to do after i have it installed and put on a dyno. I was told that i cant run much boost(5-10psi) without changing around most of my engine. any ideas on what to do, or thoughts on what i have so far??

Sorry to have to tell you this, but half of the stuff that came in the kit is junk.

Also, if you don't take care of your D16Y8's poorly designed oil pump you'll probably end up with a spun rod bearing or two shortly.

550 cc's is way more than you need, it may even be too much to use. I suppose you could use the fuel pressure regulator to make the injectors work for you though, even though the flow rate is so high.
