Default d16y7 turbo project

ok maybe the answer is out theyr but i looked at the sticky post and just want some extra feedback,

what i have , d16y7 no internal mods, but completely rebuilt,
ebay turbo kit < not using the turbo just the parts that came with it, bought turbonetics t3/t4>
full exhaust , high flowcat, 2.5" catback
greddy profec e-01 boost controller
450cc injectors
venom fuel rail
cartech begi fmu
accel 300+ wires and autolite xp iridium plugs

so onto my question , how much boost<psi> would you suggest i run on this setup safely
until i tear the engine down and sleeve it this winter?
and what kinda power can i expect ? as i stated in the newbie forum up until a month ago i was a domestic guy and that about all i know

You don't have any tuning at all, that FMU is going to be the end of your engine before you even get a rebuild.

You need to buy an OBD1 P28 chipped with Crome, an OBD2 -> OBD1 harness, and larger injectors (DSM 450ccs are cheap) and get the car tuned on it. With that, you could make about 200whp-250whp reliably.

If you don't do that, you're looking 4-5psi, 160whp, and it probably blowing up later on down the road.

^ didnt he already have 450cc injectors on his list?

and definitely tune, dont do the FMU/missing link thing. And with those plugs, make sure theyre one step colder than the OEM ones for your y7 (necesarry for turbo setups).

and from what i've read, just about double the OEM horsepower is safe on stock internals, maybe a little bit less to be safe (and also depending on how many miles are on the engine).

isnt more the psi of boost on the internals then the resulting horsepower even though there pretty much represent each other

ok then, so, where do i get an obd 1 chipped with a p28 with crome ....as i said, bere with me im a novice to honda's <and i thought this would be easier then my cavalier>

and colder spark plugs , hmmmmmmm what would you suggest ?

my goal for this summer is 150-160 horse, this winter i will be building the engine for more , but for now it would just be nice to get up the hills without having to downshift, and maybe shut up a few guys who just have intakes and catbacks, and think
because its loud its super fast , not race , maybe just pull off them at the lights a little bit <yeah its kinda childish but hey , i have an ego>

alright guys thanx for the suggestions so farim open to more

try rywire.com for the OBD2-> OBD1 conversion harness. Depending on your year you will need either and OBD2a into OBD1 or an OBD2b into OBD1. A P28 ecu is an ecu found in 92-95 civics ex. You can pick up a chipped p28 on ebay or buy a virgin one and have someone chip it for you.

Looks like that is a converted P06. Something like that would work.
