Default Non intercooled Turbo Kit

I have been doing some reading, and have noticed many stock turboed cars have no intercooler. I have a stock 2000 Civic Si with a b16a2. I am on a tight budget and really wanna get my car done. Is it possible to run a non intercooled turbo kit on my stock motor. If it does work, how much HP would i be gaining?

Thanks for the help guys

Please no flaming. Im new to the turbo world and trying to learn

Thanks Again

it doest work, but it is not a safe way to go on a motor made to be n/a. you have a better chance of detanation and you will not be able to get the full effect of a tune.

Check out the DIY section, there is a turbo shopping guide. You should be able to get an intercooled turbo set up for like 1k.

I'd keep saving pennies bro. And in the meantime, do a LOT of reading. A $1000 budget is pretty good for a home made setup, but you're more than likely going to go over that. Theres just too many little things here and there that end up coming up. Trust me, I'm had my snail for over 7 months, and i'm just starting the project today. The best thing you can do for yourself is study turbos.

Pm me if you're interested in the sites I've been reading through.

Or you could put the sites in a list and make a sticky.
