Default The Perfect Build

After several months of debating between swap or turbo, I've finally decided to rep the D and go with the turbo.

I looked at an H22 today, and as tempting as it was, the price wasn't right. However, I'll take pics next time I'm at my friends house because he's trying to sell it.

Anyways, I'm starting saving now for this project. I still have to convince my dad to let me do it. He's convinced a turbo WILL blow up my engine as soon as I turn the key. I've already sneakily started buying parts. To run a good amount of boost I'm looking at what all I need to buy.

So far my list is:

1) The turbo kit (of course) Probably going with a full intercooled GReddy kit. Here (or somewhere else if I can find it cheaper)
2) Fuel rail
3) 450 cc fuel injectors
4) 255lhp fuel pump
5) The tune!

I'm pretty new to the way a turbo works and what I need to do to beef up my engine. What other things do I need to AND/OR can do to "prep" my D for turbo?

So i've read, over and over and over. I'm going to have to put that on this list...

How much would you say a proper tune would be?

I'll add that to the list. Just think though man... everything has to get worse before it can get better. Your car's gonna be better in every way than it ever was.

Anyways, what's going to happen to your turbo?

The turbo willend upback into my engine bay eventually. Well, at least the bulk of my "kit" will. I may step up to a 14b but its undecided. Basically if I do sell anything, it'll just be the turbo itself.

Ah, I thought you were going naturally aspirated.

Anyways, what else can I do to increase the amount of boost I can give?

Also, is it a smarter idea to buy this full kit or to put a "kit" together piece by piece?

lol, that may be alittle overkill I think

Whiterabbit, I'm going to run N/A for a while, not forever. Just long enough to gather up some quality parts sothat I can avoid something like this happening again.
