Default Questions about Installation

Hello there,
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences, I was very excited reading this forum.
Recentry I have started a Civic Turbo project, my engine is D15Z6 SOCH with 115hp stock. I have done some primary mods like, sports exaust, air filter, fuel computer, spark plugs and sparks and now I am going to build simple turbo kit at the begining.
I do live in Latvia, Easten europe so I cant invest a lot of money and all my work I am doing by myself.

I have very little experience with turbos before, and therefore I do have some questions to you. Thank you in advance for your replies.

I am looking to buy this tubo:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/D15-D...36504627QQrdZ1

1. At what RPM turbo will be kicking in?
2. Will this turbo at least hold one year of normal everyday driving ?
3. Ho to adjust "kicking in" moment and rpms

Kindest anbd best regards,
Girts Avotins

That kit is incomplete (need more than that to turbo a car), it is low quality also. What do you mean you have a "fuel computer"?

To answer your originial questions:
1. Probably around 3k-4k rpm
2. THAT turbo will not, if you get a quality kit you need to have your car chiped and dyno tuned by a profesional.
3. Turbo's don't "Kick in" the spool up. You can adjust when it does that by the size and specs of the turbo, diameter of the charge piping and exhaust, and the design of the turbo manifold you chose, and a few other things.

Don't get that kit.

Mr Mobsta Man,
Thank you for your reply!
I do have only informative fuel computer, it shows air/fuel ratio, shows mpg, rpms, average mpg, but dont make any adjustments. Probably I will be buying Apexi fuel computer for that.

1. Probably around 3k-4k rpm
Okey, that is nice, I was just wondering to not have it working at 2k rpm

2. THAT turbo will not, if you get a quality kit you need to have your car chiped and dyno tuned by a profesional.
Thank you for your sugestion. May I please kindly ask you to tell me where can I have average quality and incomplete turbo kit. I do need just a mainfold and turbo, everything else I will do myself. I will buy blow off and other stuff localy but we have no turbos. I just have to be sure that mainfold fits my civic Could you please provide me with some nice shop links where to have a good turbo. My target isn't more that 10psi.

Okey, now I got that!

Almost forgot.
I have stock ECU and stock Injectors.
For the begining I would like to run car with these, I understand thats not serious, but everything will be done step by step as I cant do all at once .
Will turbo be working with stock ECU and let's say with Apexi fuel computer? What is only with stock ECu and even without apexi?
