Td05
Hi all, I was wondering if someone could tell me which are the oil in and out lines and the coolant ports on the turbo, there is one port that looks like it takes a flange, and the other three are just threaded holes and one has a banjo fitting in it so which one is which?

What kind turbo is it? TD05-what?
Banjo fitting is usually a coolant line on a turbo but sometimes a banjo bolt is used on an oil line. The flange is probably the oil drain line. The feed and return oil lines are always straight across from each other, and same with the coolant lines. The port opposite from the banjo bolt is the other coolant line (as long as the banjo bolt is a coolant line, which it probably is). The other lines will be the oil lines. It would help if you post a picture. |
Ok, i'll post a pic later today, thanks.

lol, that's the wastegate. It really seems like you're not ready to even begin to tackle a project like this. Research like crazy
The banjo fitting is a coolant line. The line straight across from it is the other coolant line. You don't have to water cool if you don't want to... in that case remove the banjo bolt and plug up the coolant ports with some bolts from the hardware store. The flanged port is the oil drain port. The one directly across from it (180º) is the oil feed port. |
thanks for the reply, and that isn't the wastegate I pulled the wastegate off of it so that has to be the BOV I asked over at homemadeturbo.com and they said it was. anyway thanks for your replies.

oh, excuse me. I didn't look at it carefully enough. I've never seen a BOV directly attached to the compressor housing before
