Ya know i have figured it up and you can buy say a ssautochrome t3/t4 kit for like $1000 and send the turbo off to be rebuilt with garrett internals and have a great setup for alot cheaper than you would pay for a brand name kit.

I got my turbo from a buddy, SS autochrome, already blown for FREE, sent it off for all new internals(500), and have had it for about a year and a half now.

500 dollars for new internals!? Where did you send it?

I think the main difficulty with SSAC seems to be the mani's, at least from what I've heard.

A place down in cincinnati. To be honest I don't remember the name. I bought every thing except the turbo from a company called zerolift. The guy I bought the turbo off of works there. They actually sent it out. He said this guy was supposed to be awsome and would warranty the turbo for 3 years. I was worried it would still be as crappy as it was new, but they assured me that it wouldn't. I'm sure he made money on me too, because he didn't charge me for the turbo.

DONT DO IT. you will end up looking like this:

Trust me from personal experience SSAC turbos DO like to dump oil, DO like to blow apart, and DO like to make end results like those seen above.
