Default Turbo need higher octane gas?

Will my R18 need higher octane gas with a 7 psi turbo? It doesn't seem to me that that amount of pressure would risk pre-detonation. Anybody know for sure?

Yes. If you have 87, and half a tank and fill it with 91, it'll average out and you won't have 91. If you get my drift. I would get close to empty, and then fill her with 91+.

If you want to be safe about it, start putting 91 in it before you even touch the turbo kit so you get most if not all the lower octane out before the car even sees the turbo installed. The way I do it with my nitrous is that when I'm just daily driving my car I run 87 then when I know I am going to use nitrous I will wait until my tank is pretty much empty then I will fill it with 91 and I've never had a problem doing it that way.

You could, But that was a good point. Since I am turboing, I only need to changeover once. And putting 91 in the car before turbo isn't going to hurt the engine. It's just not going to utilitize the octane right.

Only two or three ways to empty a tank.
1. remove it from the car and dump the rest of the fuel in it.
2. drive car until you run out of gas

How do either of those sound like a good idea to you?

5 gallon red tank thing? You mean a fuel cell? Why would you need one of those?
