Default turbo and reccomended ecu

i am wantign to turbo my D16z6 and i am just curious to what all kits would work and more importantly do i need to purchase a new ecu and if so which ones would you reccomend

thank you

also this may sounds kinda stupid but will the extra power from the turbo put to much strain on an automatic transmission?>

just a little extra strain, dont kill it. As far as kits go, you are the ten millionth person to ask that, so use the search item, same for the ecu (just chip yours)

Can't chip an ECU with an automatic transmission, you'll need a full standalone unit or a manual swap.

Well... you *can* do it but I'm clueless as to how. It's not an easy task and in most cases it doesn't work right, something to do with the clutch switch or something.

Bottom line, don't waste your time with an auto Honda. [&:] Even if he does get the thing to work, he'll probably wreck the tranny.

ya you are going to put a lot of stress on the tranny, ditch the auto tranny and get a manual one before going turbo please.

Being short on cash doesn't go well with turbocharging, in most cases. It usually leads to cutting corners, which results in spending more money than if it had been done right the first time. Not saying you will or anything, just saying be careful and know what you're getting into.
