I am looking to buy a turbo but someone told me that i have to build my engine for a turbo or it wont last long at all.. Is this true? Also i didnt think there was a supercharger for a 2001 Civic EX coupe. I have Header/AEM SRI intake at the moment. Can someone please explain to me the price differnence and performance difference in the 2. Also if there is any websites that are good for either can i get some links please. Thank you

 

well you would have to build your engine up if you were after larger power and depending on the amount of psi you run with a turbo..a turbo can be adjusted to how you want to drive where as a super charger does not ...that why most lean towards turbos...good luck

 

Entirely false. Running 7psi boost off a turbo wil lbe fine all day long. Getting it tuned will be just as good as if it were to drive off the lot yesterday. And you are right, there is no such thing as a S/C for a 7th gen.... they are known as the bastard of all honda engines in history and not many performance companies want to fool with them.
