Turbo Talk(non honda)

Ok well many know i no longer mod honda's and am moving on. As you see in my sig I plan on a beast but wanted to talk a lil bit on the subject of 1 big vs 2 small turbo's.

I have wanted to do a big T70 or T88 but am now swaying to maybe a TT setup that consist of 2 GT40's or 2 T3/T4's

Sounds fun man. My dream car is a Buick GN but I haven't been able to find that showroom car yet.

It'll be a month or so before I buy the swap so I am looking at next spring to hopefully get it all together. So it'll be a while.

i would admagine that you would get less spooling start with two smaller ones verses on big one, so the question is that do you want fast spooling or one with some lag and more top end?

To tell the truth even a T88 will spool at or under 3000rpm on a 383 cubic inch V8

You have a V8 so your gonna have a good amount of bottom end power, so maybe the top end power of a single turbo would be good. You also have to consider the fact that since you have a V8, you won't be able to get into the 8000RPM a honda would be able to.

Dont think for a second that a V8 cant do 8000rpm daily

not without a lot of headwork, valvetrain, and a little bottom-end work they cant. but it is very possible.
