I'd trade my LX Civic for this in a heartbeat; lightweight & turbocharged

reaper2022 03-19-2010 09:07 PM

I'd rock it... useless "rear diffuser" and all.

My04Civic 03-19-2010 09:30 PM

too bad its uglier than ****.

edit: 1 free internet if you know the curse i used.

StifflersMom 03-19-2010 09:53 PM

You used "****". Where's my internet?

plethoric33 03-22-2010 09:51 AM

I'm pretty sure your wrong, he said "****".

I would love to have one of those. But I'm sure they will be in the same price range as something nicer from another company.

Superfly 03-22-2010 10:12 AM

I'd definitley give some serious thought to buying one if I was in the market for a car. And i think it looks pretty good

link32183 07-22-2010 06:09 AM

i wonder if ford finaly did something right... we will have to see....

Kenny-g 07-22-2010 08:45 PM

Its a turboed 2 door Honda Fit...and i dont see the Fit's sellin like crazy so......

Forty04 07-23-2010 03:19 AM

But fits don't have turbos ;)

link32183 07-23-2010 04:09 AM

I told my coworkers about this car and showed them the link ( all mechanics ) and one guy said "sounds good but you can't polish a terd, turbo or not".

Forty04 07-23-2010 07:42 AM

Your coworkers sound like typical meathead mechanics

BAH AMURRCAAAHHNNN!

Tiran 07-23-2010 07:44 AM

The fiesta with eco-boost is sex. I would buy this or an abarth Fiat 500 would be cool too.

And Subaru dose not have a factory team where as Ford dose. And its mostly Focuses not fiestas.

This is very true lol
I personally dont like em (the Fits) but the ecoboost Fiesta is just strangely appealing idk why :p

NIKE H34D 07-23-2010 12:15 PM

Fit is gorgeous.

croninc 07-24-2010 01:03 AM

id trade my car in a heart beat as well for this car, looks like a lot of fun to drive....I WANT!!!

bobbert7 08-05-2010 03:10 PM

I think Ford finally did do something right. They turned down the bailout money and then turned out this car which is moderately good IMHO.

xph34rt3hr34p3r 08-09-2010 08:54 AM

I doubt my opinion counts much since there isn't a single Domestic vehicle in my driveway (Honda/Mazda/Toyota), but kudos to Ford for finally taking a note from the European styles and bringing production turbocharged vehicles stateside. It's about time one of the "Big 3" took a hint and realized that there IS a replacement for displacement that also happens to keep your fuel economy up.

One of the other engineers I work with came from Ford and from my understanding he said the plan is that Ford intends to replace almost their entire engine lineup with smaller boosted engines by 2013.

Here's to still waiting for the Focus RS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Focus_RS).

Really makes me wish I would have bought some stock when they were below $2 :(

pahaf 09-13-2010 09:27 PM

^ focus rs is just epic. but i think the feista will still be a pretty nice car, depending on the price

+1 I agree. It is pretty nice, even for Ford, BUT the thing is that is the killer for me, Ford. I am sure the price will make it a bit less appealing.

Peg_Leg 09-22-2010 06:16 AM

I drove a regular Fiesta the other day and damn Ford did good on it very smooth and had more power then my 2009 Fit Sport i had.

apoplectic1 09-22-2010 06:19 AM

I'd trade my civic in for this thing in a heartbeat, but then again my civic isn't running atm.

It kinda reminds me of the suppositories my mom made me take when I was 5.

Kenny-g 10-20-2010 08:05 AM

So i bought my truck from a Ford dealer and while drooling over the new mustangs i saw one of the fiestas and decided to check into it...didnt have one ecoboost one on the lot

I thought they were suppost to be here in the US too right? Anyway they didnt have one but i didnt think to ask if they'd order one cause was in the process of purchasing a vehicle from them already. ;)

But anyway the normal fiesta's have a sh!t load of room in them i was impressed seeing as how my hatch was (almost) bigger than it lol

Oh and that RS Focus is fricken sexy as hell! They need to bring that here :D

Forty04 10-21-2010 03:44 AM

170hp in a fwd car that weighs 2400lbs is no slouch

b_gardner74 10-26-2010 12:38 PM

Well it looks quite decent but I still think all the new Honda models that keep getting launched every 4 years have the best looks. New Civic, CRZ all of them rock!

Superfly 10-26-2010 02:37 PM

^Except for the hideous grill :( i saw one the other day, the grill looks better in person, but is still ridiculous.

But Mazda still has it beat lol. That and the 2012 Focus ST

Paul79UF 11-30-2010 06:40 AM

I'm not a fan of hatchback cars, but that looks pretty sweet.

I completely get your desire for a turbo though. I've seriously considering a 2-3 year old used 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0L Turbo or 2011 Kia Optima SX 2.0L Turbo in a few years.

Mecca8383 11-30-2010 03:18 PM

Sheeeeeeet....Looks better than it's previous year cars....I know that!
