Exclamation A/C 96 Honda Civic EX

Hey everyone,
So my a/c is going crazy and my daughter and I are sweating our little bit of weight off. I have recharged it and that worked for a couple hours but than stopped. I can feel cold spots when I put my hand close to it but overall it is warm/hot air blowing out. When I went to check the gauges today on the low side it jumped to the red. There is a noise coming out from under the glove box and I don't know if I have to replace the whole thing or if it is a a/c clutch whatever that may be. I would like to do it myself if I can because where I live mechanics try to take advantage of the fact I'm a woman and they think I have no clue what is going on with my car. She is a good car I just need to get the air fixed asap because my power switches went out for my windows and locks and I have to get that fixed as well. Please any leads will be appreciated... Thank you all in advance.

the noise under the glove box is the motor for the fan and you might want to shoot up the car with dye and see where it is leaking from thats the reason y you dont have cold air that long when you shoot it up

Was the system empty when you recharged it? If so, did you fix the leak, replace the receiver/dryer, vacuum the system, and then recharge with the proper amount of R134a and oil?

I haven't done any of that because I wasn't sure if it was a leak the whole fan motor or something else where can I go to get the dye or what would yall recommend to be the next best step?

Add some R134a containing a leak detecting dye. Where the dye appears shows where the leak is.

Once the leak is pinpointed, have the refrigerant recovered and then fix the leak. Then do this:

...replace the receiver/dryer, vacuum the system, and then recharge with the proper amount of R134a and oil
