Default Scammed?

Hey guys I need your advice. I recently THOUGHT I had traded my jensen flip out tv for a b18 motor swap. I shipped out the tv on monday, with delivery confirmation. The person I traded with told me they shipped out the motor on monday. Yesterday they sent me an email saying they didnt recieve the tv. I went to the usps website and it said the item was delivered on wed. They told me they never recieved the package, and were cancelling the shipment on the motor. They also told me in the email that they have had packages stolen from their porch before(which they did not tell me before I shipped the item, or else I would have had it delivered to a local post office requiring ID for pickup.) What do you guys think? What should I do? I called the post office already, and he said it sounds like a scam and that hes contacting the authorities as well as the postal inspector, but I want to know what I can do to either 1) get my motor or 2) get my tv back.

nah... he scammed you... no1 will trade a motor for a tv... and as a rule of thumb... when some1 just joins a forum and starts selling big things like motors... ... dont really trust them... at least this was a learning experience... but you have an address right... so track his *** down

1. send a PM to Patrick, he is the site admin

2. does the tracking info say it was signed for, or left on the porch?

***-tracking in progress, I know the "if it sounds to good to be true" rule, but he was only asking 750 for the motor, and its a 1000 dollar screen so it was kind of even, he showed me pics of the motor, made me sign warranty papers as well as a bill of sale, so it just looked to straightforward to be a scam. Ive already talked to the postmaster and the police, this guy isnt getting away with this one.

Who is patrick? Is that his pm name? What do I tell him? Also the postmaster said that delivery confirmation does not require a signature, but that if the package was delivered, it is the responsibility of the person recieving the item to be present at the time of drop off. Even the postmaster said it sounds like a scam, but to wait until monday to see if the motor arrives, because if the motor comes to my house anyway, they can investigate if someone MAY have stolen it from the persons house, or if the mailman took back the package.

done! This is crazy, who would think you could get scammed with so much "proof" that this was real. Anyone on here in the victoria texas area willing to go throw someone a beatin? I can trade car parts in payment, but need to see proof they got whooped up on.
