Thanks. And believe me, with a halfway decent camera, some reading, practice and patience, you can get good results too. I've come a long way from my first pics and I've seen photos taken with my exact same camera by experienced users that make mine look like crayon drawings.
So I've got a long way to go. I will be investing in a telephoto lens, some filters and wide angle lens next. Keep the pics coming everyone...

^ You are so very right Ricepatrol. Check out this link to Ken Rockwell. There's an article he wrote titled Why Your Camera Does Not Matter... He explains that very statement and supports it with a link to Ansel Adams a photographer from the 1940's. This guy didn't have photoshop, all the latest tricks and technology, and his photos were still nothing short of amazing...
EDIT... These black and white photos were made using a 50 year old $3 disposable camera. Pictures... Wow! [8D]

Got some pics of the Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City yesterday I thought I would share. I've got a lot more, these are just my favorites...
A little macro photography... Manual mode, full zoom, tripod for stability, macro focus, aperture 2.8...

Pink daisies...

Part of downtown OKC across the Myriad pond. Fall colors are arriving...

Downtown framed with greenery...

Sidewalks through the park...

I guess these are lily pads. They were growing on top of the water [&:] ...

The actual Myriad Gardens facility. A huge cylinder shaped greenhouse with tropical plants, animals, art etc...
